ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Roads General Authority recorded the movement of more than 70,000 vehicles on roads leading to Makkah on the third day of Dhu Al-Hijjah as pilgrim arrivals intensified during the Hajj 1447 AH season.
According to SPA, the traffic movement forms part of the Kingdom’s large-scale operational and organizational efforts aimed at facilitating pilgrims’ transportation and improving traffic efficiency on routes leading to the holy sites.
The authority said field and operational readiness measures remain active across all major roads connected to Makkah to ensure smoother movement and safer transportation for pilgrims arriving from different regions.

Officials added that the integrated road management system is helping improve transportation efficiency and reduce congestion as increasing numbers of pilgrims continue arriving in Makkah for Hajj rituals.
