Mother arrested for killing three children

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Three minor children were found murdered in the Shah Jamal area of Ichhra here on Thursday, while police claimed to have solved the case and arrested the mother of the victims.

According to Rescue 1122, an emergency call was received regarding the killing of three children at a plaza in Shah Jamal, following which rescue teams and emergency vehicles reached the spot.

Rescue officials said that the bodies of three children were found at the scene, all of whom had their throats slit with a sharp-edged weapon. The deceased were identified as five-year-old Momina Batool, four-year-old Momin Raza and one-and-a-half-year-old Umme Habiba.

The bodies were later handed over to police for legal formalities.

Meanwhile, Lahore Police, under the joint supervision of DIG Operations and DIG Investigation, launched an inquiry into the incident and, using modern technology and coordinated efforts, traced the suspect.

According to police officials, the accused—mother of the children—was arrested and she has confessed to committing the crime.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and further legal proceedings are being carried out.
