Motorway police Inspector Khizar Hayat laid to rest with official honours

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Khizar Hayat, an inspector of the Motorway Police, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest, prompting widespread grief among colleagues and the local community.

Funeral prayers for the deceased were held in his native village Bhattiwala on Thursday, where a large number of officials, civil society members, and residents gathered to pay their last respects. Senior Motorway Police officers, including DIG Dar Ali Khattak and Sector Commander M-4 Nadeem Ashraf Warraich, were in attendance.

On the occasion, DIG Dar Ali Khattak expressed condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the late officer’s dedication and professional service to the department.

The inspector was laid to rest with full official honours. Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, IG Motorway Police Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Additional IG Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui, and DIG Dar Ali Khattak laid floral wreaths at the grave in recognition of his service.
