Motorway police launches crackdown against overcharging fares

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) The Motorway Police have launched crackdown against overcharging fares and overloading passengers in public transport ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to details, complaints were pouring in from citizens traveling to celebrate Eid with their families regarding transporters charging excessive fares.

In response, the Motorway Police have become active to prevent overcharging and ensure compliance with regulations. Officers have initiated vehicle checking across different sites taking action against transporters found violating rules, including carrying passengers beyond permitted capacity.
