The Motorway Police Sector-II Sakrand organized a comprehensive mock exercise on National Highway to prepare for emergency situations
NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Motorway Police Sector-II Sakrand organized a comprehensive mock exercise on National Highway to prepare for emergency situations. The exercise was conducted under the supervision of Sector Commander Muhammad Afzal Majeed, in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Shaheed Benazirabad and Sindh Integrated Emergency Health Services (SIHS).
According to details, a simulated accident scenario was created involving a passenger bus (PSV) and an oil tanker. As a result of the staged collision, oil tanker caught fire while passengers on the bus were shown as injured. Under the supervision of DSP Rashid Siddiqui and DSP Azeem Khan Zardari, Motorway Police officials responded promptly and evacuated the injured passengers from the bus.
Rescue 1122 team, led by District Incharge Zeeshan Zardari, along with fire brigade, reached the scene and demonstrated firefighting operations to control the blaze in oil tanker and prevent further damage.
After the fire was brought under control, the SIHS team, led by District Manager Aqsa Jamali, provided immediate first aid to injured and shifted them to hospital via ambulances. Sector Commander Muhammad Afzal Majeed said that Primary objective of the joint exercise was to enhance coordination among emergency response agencies and improve response time to ensure the protection of human lives. At the end of program, the professional performance of all participating departments was appreciated.
