ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) have returned gold jewelry and other valuables worth approximately Rs2.2 million to their rightful owner, demonstrating professionalism, honesty and commitment to public service.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, Motorway Police officers found a bag containing gold ornaments and other valuable items during routine patrolling near Gwadar.

Upon recovery of the bag, the officers immediately took it into safe custody and launched efforts to trace its owner. However, initial attempts to locate the owner proved unsuccessful.

The NHMP subsequently initiated an awareness campaign through social media and local channels regarding the lost bag while keeping details of the valuables confidential to ensure that only the genuine owner could identify and claim the property.

Following the campaign, the owner contacted the Motorway Police and provided complete and accurate information about the bag and its contents.
