MPA Saqib Chadhar booked in harassment case of actress Mominah Iqbal

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has registered a case against Punjab MPA Saqib Chadhar over allegations of harassment, blackmail, and threats involving actress Mominah Iqbal.

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-June-05th, 2026) The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered a case against Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar in a harassment case involving actress Mominah Iqbal.

The case against MPA Saqib Chadhar has been registered under the PECA Act. According to the complainant, Saqib Chadhar and his associates were involved in blackmailing and issuing threats.

According to the FIR, the accused threatened that related data would be leaked if marriage did not take place. Mominah Iqbal’s sister provided a video of the threats to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency.

It is also reported that the wedding ceremonies of actress Mominah Iqbal have begun, and following her harassment complaint, NCCIA has summoned the Punjab MPA.

The FIR states that the video and mobile phone have been taken into custody as digital evidence and sent for examination. It also mentions that threatening messages were sent from Saqib Chadhar’s number.

According to the FIR, after learning about Saqib Chadhar’s first marriage, Mominah Iqbal refused to marry him. Following the refusal, he allegedly began blackmailing her by sending private videos. Evidence of such blackmailing videos sent by Saqib Chadhar was also found in Mominah Iqbal’s mobile phone. It is further alleged that in 2023, he falsely accused her, leading to the breakup of her engagement. Later, threats were also issued to actress Mominah Iqbal and her current husband.

The FIR further states that Saqib Chadhar, his wife, and associates were involved in cyber harassment and blackmail, and illegally monitored the victim while continuously threatening her and her family members. It is also mentioned that the MPA deleted all data and apps from his mobile phone before submitting it to NCCIA.

It is worth noting that actress Mominah Iqbal had filed a complaint against MPA Saqib Chadhar with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency a few days ago.
