MPA Larkana Jamil Ahmed Soomro held a meeting with Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Monday

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) MPA Larkana Jamil Ahmed Soomro held a meeting with Sindh education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Monday.

The discussion focused on candidates who secured over 40 marks but remain on the waiting list despite their merit.

During the meeting, which included Education Secretary Zahid Hussain Abbasi and senior district officers, MPA Soomro highlighted the growing frustration among qualified youth.

He emphasized that many candidates are now facing the risk of being disqualified due to surpassing age limits while waiting for their promised appointments.

"It is the firm commitment of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that the youth of Sindh receive employment strictly on merit," Soomro stated.

While acknowledging the recruitment of 80,000 teachers as a milestone, he noted that the administrative delay in finalizing the current waiting list must be resolved immediately to maintain the department’s credibility.

Reassuring MPA Larkana Jamil Ahmed Soomro, the Sindh Education Minister said, "For the first time in Pakistan's history, we have hired more than 80,000 teachers in Sindh, and that too at once, through a splendid process conducted by IBA Sindh."

For this purpose, he added that instructions have already been issued, and following today's meeting, officers of the relevant departments have been reminded once again with clear timelines to work on the relevant details to proceed accordingly and submit them for approval.

The meeting was also attended by Sindh Education Secretary Zahid Hussain Abbasi and other divisional and district officers from District Larkana.
