MPhil english seminar held at GC University Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) The Department of English language and literature at Government College University Hyderabad hosted a MPhil (Linguistics) seminar at the university’s Smart Classroom.

Research scholar Ms Maria presented her study titled “Investigating Semiotic Representation of Women in English Language YouTube Commercials.

The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr Niaz Hussain Soomro.

The seminar was chaired by Prof Dr Makhdoom Muhammad Roshan Siddiqui, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Prof Dr Liaquat Ali Channa, Chairman of the Department of English Language and Literature, along with faculty members, research scholars and students, attended the seminar. At the end of the session, the seminar was declared successful
