Multan Avenue encroachers, violators to face action, says commissioner

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Multan Avenue, a state-of-the-art signature boulevard of the City of Saints

is going to be purged of encroachments, illegal structures and unauthorized

commercial activities, commissioner Multan Amir Kareem Khan said on Tuesday.

Over Rs 28 billion project that showcases a modern carpeted road, greenbelts,

parking bays and service road with modern day facilities like open Gym, may soon

be witnessing patrolling by a special unit to identify troubles and fix them as per law,

Commissioner Khan said in a meeting with officials including Additional DG MDA

Ata Ul Haq, director Development Multan division Mubashir Ur Rahman and

others in attendance.

He ordered the MDA and District Council to compile record of all the illegal

structures, buildings on Multan Avenua and stringent measures be taken to

keep the posh artery worth billions cleansed of any illegality whatsoever.

Indiscriminate action should be taken against buildings built without approval,

violation of commercialization laws, while all the illegal ramps, illegal entry points

and encroachments be removed from the service road immediately, commissioner

ordered. Those involved in making illegal cuts for entry to the boulevard,

encroachment and damaging public property would face action.

The Commissioner also proposed a special unit to patrol the city’s modern road

for proper monitoring.
