Murder suspect apprehended in police operation

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) The police arrested a wanted suspect accused of murder and attempted murder during a targeted operation against criminal elements, the official sources said on Monday.

Acting on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Shahbaz Ilahi, a police team led by DSP Headquarters, Imaduddin and Station House Officer (SHO) Jangal Khel Police Station, Javed Khan conducted a search-and-strike operation and apprehended the suspect, identified as Suhail.

The police said weapons were recovered from the suspect .

According to investigators, Suhail was wanted in connection with the killing of Asif ur Rehman on Dec. 16, 2022. Following the incident, he allegedly went into hiding and had been evading arrest.

They said the arrest was made on the basis of intelligence information and a coordinated operational strategy.
