RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Murree administration has finalized a coordinated plan for Muharram, focusing security, emergency response and uninterrupted civic services to ensure safe conduct of religious processions and gatherings.

The framework, reviewed at a meeting chaired by Assistant Commissioner Murree Capt (R) Arshad Iqbal, included policing, traffic management, sanitation, power supply and health services under a single command structure to improve response time and field coordination.

The meeting was briefed that dedicated deployment along procession routes, real-time monitoring of sensitive locations and pre-positioning of rescue and medical teams would be key features of the plan.

Traffic diversions and route management are also being designed to maintain flow while securing congregation points.

The administration has directed all departments to complete arrangements ahead of time, activate emergency response protocols and maintain continuous communication during the month of Muharram to handle any contingency effectively.
