RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) The City Traffic Police, Murree, has issued a travel advisory for citizens and tourists, as continuous rain on Thursday has made roads slippery and likely to disrupt traffic flow.

Chief Traffic Officer(CTO) Murree, Imran Razaq, urged motorists to exercise caution, advising them to reduce speed and avoid sudden braking to prevent accidents. He said drivers should maintain proper control of their vehicles and keep a safe distance from those ahead.

The advisory stressed the importance of using wipers and headlights during rain and warned against overtaking on slippery roads.

It also called for extra care while negotiating turns in mountainous areas.

The CTO advised motorists to ensure their vehicles were in good condition before travel, particularly tyres, brakes and wipers, and to use fog lights in case of heavy rain or fog. Citizens were also urged to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated on weather conditions.

He said that in case of any emergency, citizens should contact the traffic helpline at 051-9269200 for timely assistance.
