Murree Traffic Police urge caution as intermittent rain makes hilly roads slippery

MURREE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) The City Traffic Police Murree on Monday advised motorists to exercise caution as intermittent rain, while bringing pleasant weather to the hill station, has increased slipperiness on roads.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Imran Razaq, in a special advisory, urged drivers to reduce speed and avoid sudden braking to prevent accidents, maintain full control of their vehicles, use wipers and headlights correctly, and keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.

Motorists were also advised to avoid overtaking on slippery roads and exercise extra care while negotiating turns in hilly areas.

The CTO further advised that vehicle tyres, brakes and wipers should be checked before travel, and fog lights used during heavy rain or fog. Motorists were also urged to avoid non-essential journeys and stay updated on weather conditions to prevent mishaps.
