Wednesday organized a capacity-building workshop aimed at equipping students with practical skills in modern digital tools aligned with the demands of the evolving digital era, officials said.
The session was led by Hassan Shahzada, a fourth-semester Software Engineering student and Associate microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program ambassador, a departmental spokesman told APP .
He said the workshop sought to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry-standard tools used by software engineers worldwide.
During the first segment, Shahzada introduced the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program 2026, outlining opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, gain international exposure, and access professional growth platforms. Participants were also guided through the application process, with tips on becoming successful candidates.
The second module focused on GitHub and the Student Developer Pack, offering hands-on training in tools widely used in the software industry. The students learned to access premium tools, create and host portfolio websites using GitHub Pages, and build a professional online presence.
The workshop, drew participation from students across various departments.
The attendees actively engaged in practical exercises, showing interest in developing and showcasing their projects online.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahzada said sharing knowledge was an effective way to grow and expressed his aim to empower fellow students with skills needed for their careers.
The event concluded with positive feedback from students and faculty, who appreciated the initiative for promoting practical training and enhancing students’ digital competencies.
