NA Speaker urges lawmakers to adopt paperless system, bring iPads to House

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday urged members to bring their iPads to the House, as only a limited number of printed copies would be available for those who require them.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said members had been provided with iPads and that printed agendas would no longer be placed before lawmakers from the next day.

He said the move was part of efforts to shift towards a paperless system, noting that printed material often goes to waste. “We are moving towards a more future-oriented, paperless system. Please bring your iPads with you, and we will reduce the use of paper,” he added.
