The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has got recovered 80 thousand acres of government land worth Rs. 06 billion illegally allotted to M/s Bahria Town at Gulistan-e-Sarmast Housing Scheme, Deh Ganjo Takkar
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has got recovered 80 thousand acres of government land worth Rs. 06 billion illegally allotted to M/s Bahria Town at Gulistan-e-Sarmast Housing Scheme, Deh Ganjo Takkar.
According to NAB spokesman, the land is located at the prime spot of Hyderabad. Management of Bahria Town managed the illegal allotment and possession of land on meager amount of Rs.
383 million which was also defaulted. Further, M/S Bahria Town failed to fulfill the terms and conditions of allotment, which defeated the purpose for which land was allotted i.e Establishment of university.
NAB Karachi unearthed illegally allotted land to M/s Bahria Town Private Ltd. Accordingly, the matter was taken up with HDA and as the result of efforts and intervention of NAB, the HDA has cancelled the allotment and possession with forfeiture of the partially paid amount by M/s Bahria Town.
