KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2026) The National Academy of Performing Arts-NAPA celebrated first anniversary of the great victory of our nation against its enemy in the Marka-e Haq, by presenting an selection of national songs in its program, Naghma-e Watan, at its Zia Mohyeddin Theater.
The program was attended by Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, among a houseful of guests.
Chairman NAPA Syed Jawaid Iqbal, in his welcome address, said that this gathering was not just a musical program, but an effective expression of national pride, national unity, and a tribute to the great sacrifices that made Pakistan's defense invincible.
The federal minister, in his speech, said that Pakistan had, ever since that victory last year, proved that it was not a war mongering country.

The musical program started with Kainat John presenting Is parcham ke saye talay. Then came Sarfaraz Ali with Chaand meri zameen. Then Jawwad Qureshi presented Aye watan pyaray watan. Leeza Fatima concluded the first segment with Sohni Dharti.
The second segment had Zeeshan Zafar singing Apni jaan nazar karoon, Premesh Kumar presenting Yeh watan tumhara hai, Azhar Zaidi with Aye watan kay sajeelay jawaano, and Natasha Griffin with Aye Raah-e Haq kay shaheedo.
The final segment began with Aiman Zara presenting Hum zinda qaum hain. Abdul Sami (Itnay baray jeewan saagar main) and Jawwad Qureshi with Jaag raha hai saara watan concluded the evening.
