Narcotics worth Rs 78 mln seized

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) Bahawalpur conducted a major operation and recovered 475 kilograms of narcotics worth approximately Rs 78 million.

According to a spokesman for the CNF, acting on tip-off, a team of CNF conducted raid near the Lal Suhanra National Park, arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 32 kilograms of narcotics from his vehicle, adding that following the arrest of the suspect, a large-scale operation was launched at Shakir Mor in Vehari based on information provided by the suspect.

During the raid in Vehari conducted by CNF Bahawalpur, the CNF team recovered 384 kilograms of high-quality hashish, 92 kilograms of opium, and one kilogram of crystal meth (ice) from a hidden narcotics depot established inside a house,” he said, adding that among those arrested were two male suspects and one female drug trafficker.
