Nasir Shah credits Pakistan’s leadership for global mediation, improved law & order in Sindh

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Sunday has said Pakistan was playing a key role in global mediation and thanked Allah for it, while addressing an important press conference at the Sukkur Press Club.

Due to the efforts of President Asif Ali Zardari, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, peace is returning to the world, he said.

The provincial minister claimed that the threat of a third world war had been averted because of Pakistan’s mediation.

He said that Allah will also bestow His special blessings on Pakistan to improve the country’s economy.

He said development work was under way in Sindh in line with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision, and the law and order situation in the province was improving day by day.

Our forces have been facing Indian proxies for many years, during which our personnel have embraced martyrdom.

Shah said. Due to the tireless efforts of our Field Marshal, peace is returning to the country and enemy states are facing defeat.

On the energy crisis, he said the NTDC was making efforts to overcome the power shortage in the country. He added that the LNG supply issue was due to wartime conditions, but work was being done on it.

“The gas pipeline project with Iran is stalled due to pressure. It is hoped that with global peace, this project will also be completed,” he said.

The minister said no go areas had been established in Sindh in the past, but the law and order situation was improving due to the Sindh government’s policy.

“Many dacoits have been killed because of our police. The dacoits have no option left except to surrender,” he said.

He added that jirgas played a role in maintaining peace, and tribal chiefs had been asked to play their part in establishing law and order.
