Nation backs armed forces as foundation slams India’s strike

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The President of Maarka-e-Haq Shuhada Foundation, Sharjeel Mir and General Secretary, Yasir Maqsood on Wednesday said the entire nation stood united with its armed forces against the any aggression by India.

Speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club in Islamabad, They said that the Indian attacks were carried out under the cover of darkness and violated international laws.

Sharjeel Mir said India targeted civilians instead of engaging military forces. He stated that Pakistan responded during the day and targeted military positions. He said the response would be remembered and warned that any further action would meet a stronger reply. He added that the nation stood united and supported the armed forces at every step.

Paying tribute to those who lost their lives, he said their sacrifices for the country would not be forgotten. He said the construction of memorials for the martyrs was a positive step.

Meanwhile, General Secretary Yasir Maqsood said the armed forces responded with full strength and destroyed enemy capabilities. He said the air force also played a key role during the conflict. He claimed that India targeted civilians because it could not face the armed forces in direct combat.

Maqsood said the foundation would continue to raise its voice for justice and accountability.

He also said Pakistan had recently played a role in mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, which, according to him, strengthened the country’s position at the global level.

He said this had raised the country’s standing and showed its role in promoting peace.

The foundation leaders concluded by saying they would continue their efforts to keep the memory of the martyrs alive and press for international action over the recent events.
