LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt on Friday inaugurated various development projects in constituency NA-120.

The public expressed pleasure at the presence of their representatives in the constituency and thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Provincial Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt for the record development work, said a handout issued here.

While talking to the media, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that hope has been restored among the public after the current government came into power.

He expressed optimism about the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran and suggested holding talks in Islamabad to promote peace in the region.

He stated, "There is no mistrust between Pakistan and Iran and that relations between the two countries are strong."

Provincial Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt said, “The current leadership is fulfilling its promises to the public, whereas in the past, some parties used to backtrack on their commitments.”

He praised the welfare initiatives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, stating that under the “Dhee Rani” program, thousands of girls have been able to get married, while projects like the “Himmat Card” and assistive devices are playing an important role in empowering persons with disabilities.
