Nauman falls to top seed in World Junior Squash pre-quarterfinal

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2026) Pakistan's challenge in the boys' individual event of the World Squash Junior Individual Championships 2026 came to an end after Nauman Khan was defeated by defending champion and top seed Mohammad Zakaria of Egypt in the pre-quarterfinals at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada.

Zakaria secured a straight-games victory, winning 11-4, 11-5, 11-6, to advance to the quarterfinals, while Nauman's impressive campaign concluded in the last 16.

Nauman was Pakistan's best performer in the individual competition, reaching the pre-quarterfinals after registering victories in the opening three rounds.

Following the conclusion of the individual event for Pakistan, attention will now shift to the team championship, which is scheduled to begin on July 26.
