Need stressed to raise awareness about public transport

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) An awareness rally was organized here to promote efficient fuel usage and the use

of public transport.

The walk was started from DC Office Chowk and marched on city roads. A large number of traffic staff, traders’ associations, civil society members, and citizens participated in the rally.

The participants had held banners inscribed with slogans to raise awareness about importance of public transport.

Speaking on the occasion, the participants said that the purpose of the rally was to encourage citizens to prefer public transport—especially electric buses—over private vehicles, in order to reduce fuel consumption in the country.
