Negligence in official duties not to be tolerated: DC

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir has directed all government departments to ensure strict enforcement of laws and any negligence or slackness in official responsibilities would not be tolerated.

He was addressing a meeting of the District Coordination Committee (DCC) at DC complex which was co-chaired by Colonel Adeel of Pakistan Army via video link.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) along with officers from various departments participated in the meeting remotely.

During meeting, the performance of different departments came under detailed review as the concerned officers presented reports regarding the progress and activities of their respective institutions.

The participants were also briefed about the number of fines imposed and cases registered under relevant laws during the review period.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that all institutions must ensure effective implementation of laws and maintain discipline in administrative matters.

He directed the officials to take immediate action on public complaints and perform their duties more efficiently to provide improved services and facilities to the citizens.

The deputy commissioner further stressed that all departments should work with close coordination and complete harmony to maintain law & order and ensure smooth governance across the district.
