New dialysis ward, upgradation of deptts planned at Data Darbar Hospital: Secretary Auqaf Punjab and Chief Administrator Dr Ehsan Bhutta

Secretary Auqaf Punjab and Chief Administrator Dr Ehsan Bhutta on Tuesday visited Data Darbar General and Eye Hospital and ordered establishment of a new dialysis ward along with upgradation of various departments, including ophthalmology, paediatrics and gynaecology

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) Secretary Auqaf Punjab and Chief Administrator Dr Ehsan Bhutta on Tuesday visited Data Darbar General and Eye Hospital and ordered establishment of a new dialysis ward along with upgradation of various departments, including ophthalmology, paediatrics and gynaecology.

During the visit, Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Latif briefed the secretary about different sections of the hospital. Doctors and administrative staff were also present.

Dr Ehsan Bhutta visited various wards and issued on-the-spot instructions. He inquired after patients admitted to the gynaecology ward regarding treatment and availability of medicines, to which patients expressed satisfaction over the facilities.

The secretary directed hospital administration to ensure attendance of doctors and medical staff and ordered procurement of modern medical equipment.

He also instructed recruitment of eye surgeons, gynaecologists, anaesthetists, medical officers, optometrists and supporting staff to strengthen healthcare services.

He directed that walls of the children’s ward be decorated with colorful images to create a friendly environment for young patients and reduce fear.

Dr Ehsan Bhutta further ordered utilisation of all available resources for establishment of a new dialysis ward in Tariq-un-Nisa Ward and directed appointment of trained doctors, nurses and paramedical staff for the facility.

He also discussed setting up a nursery adjacent to the children’s ward and instructed the hospital administration to properly cover and organise electrical wiring to ensure safety.
