Nine held for water theft

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) An irrigation task force on Monday caught nine farmers for allegedly stealing canal water during a crackdown in Sargodha.

According to details,Sub-Divisional Officer Canal Hafiz Ahmad Hassan conducted a raid in Chak No.

133-SB and surrounding areas,where nine farmers were apprehended for water theft.

The accused were identified as Asad,Maqbool,Muhammad Abid,Mansab,Khalid,Amanullah,Faqeer Hussain,Mulazim Hussain and Mubashar.

Police registered cases against the alleged water pilferers on the complaint of irrigation officials.
