Nine involved in killing father and son arrested in Harpur

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Haripur police have arrested nine suspects involved in the killing of a man and son and injuring another, police confirmed on Monday.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur, the City Police carried out a successful operation leading to the arrests.

The suspects were allegedly involved in a shooting incident targeting the victims while they were returning home after attending a court hearing.

Police informed the victims had previously been involved in a separate murder case a few months earlier, reportedly linked to a dispute over a pathway in Kag village.

Authorities further stated that weapons along with vehicles and a motorcycle used in the crime have been recovered from the suspects. Investigations are ongoing and further developments are expected, police added.
