MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Authorities of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) have sealed at least nine mobile shops here after receiving complaints of unlawful deductions from widows’ aid payments.
Assistant Director BISP Jahanzeb Kharal said timely action was taken following multiple complaints registered by beneficiaries.
He added that the devices were shut down after a secret inquiry confirmed irregularities at authorised cash distribution centres.
He revealed that the sealed outlets included Saad Mobile (Rana Nadeem), Kaab Mobile, Hameed Yousuf Kariyana, Rana Zafar Mobile, Nadir Mobile, M Bilal Mobile and Nadeem PCO.
The Assistant Director stressed that strict action is being taken against individuals involved in illegal deductions from funds meant for widows. He added that alternative mobile shops are being identified to ensure uninterrupted distribution of aid.
