NMU academic council reviews academic policies, curriculum framework

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) The 33rd meeting of Nishtar Medical University (NMU) Academic Council comprehensively reviewed key academic policies, curriculum framework, and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the quality of medical education, here on Wednesday.

NMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mehnaz Khakwani presided over the meeting, attended among others by Registrar Dr Syed Ahmer Hassan, Additional Registrar Dr Irfan Ansari, Controller Examination Dr Azam Khan and Dr Zahra Nazish.

Important agenda items were deliberated in detail, with a focus on aligning academic programs with contemporary standards and evolving educational needs.

The VC stressed the need for continuous academic improvement, innovation in teaching methodologies, and strict adherence to quality benchmarks. She directed all concerned departments to implement effective and timely measures to enhance academic performance and institutional efficiency.

Reaffirming NMU’s vision, she highlighted the university’s commitment to excellence in medical education, research, and the development of a progressive and dynamic learning environment.
