No negligence in public services to be tolerated: DC Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram Thursday chaired a meeting regarding district service delivery.

The meeting conducted a detailed review of the performance of Tehsil Municipal Administrations and the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WASA).

Service delivery indicators related to cleanliness, drainage, supply of clean drinking water, and other basic citizen facilities were discussed in detail.

Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram directed all relevant institutions to further improve their performance to address the issues faced by citizens. He issued clear instructions that any negligence in the provision of services would not be tolerated.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for immediate and effective measures to enhance the quality of service delivery.

He called for timely identification of problems, ensuring their resolution, and the regular submission of progress reports.

The meeting also reviewed in detail the facilities being provided to passengers at the General Bus Stand, as well as the determination of fares. The Deputy Commissioner instructed that interprovincial fares be fixed in accordance with government policy and fuel prices, and that all basic facilities be ensured for passengers in compliance with the law.

The meeting was attended by TMO Abbottabad, TMO Lower Tanawal, TMO Lora, TMO Havelian, Deputy Manager WASA, and other relevant officers.
