ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) PWPA Chairperson Hina Parvez Butt emphasized on Sunday that under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision of a secure Punjab, domestic violence has no acceptance, calling on women to speak out against abuse, leave fear behind, and seek help, while assuring full state support and justice.
The Chairperson, while speaking with a local media outlet, elaborated on the Chief Minister’s vision for women's empowerment and safety across the province.
She said that women now have strong institutional protection and are fully empowered to fight for their rights, adding that they are no longer alone in their struggle as the government stands firmly beside them at every step.
She highlighted that a large number of dedicated offices and support centres have been established across Punjab, working around the clock to ensure protection, provide legal assistance, and address complaints related to women’s rights.
Hina Pervez stated that her office remains open to directly hear public concerns and ensure timely action.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>She added that the Punjab government has introduced multiple measures for women’s protection, including strengthened complaint mechanisms, rapid response systems, legal aid facilities, and coordination with law enforcement agencies to ensure swift justice in cases of violence or harassment.
PWPA Chairperson Hina Parvez Butt emphasized that protecting women from harassment and ensuring their rights is not the responsibility of institutions alone, but a collective duty that demands unified action from society as a whole.
She called upon the media and youth to step forward with urgency and responsibility to amplify awareness, challenge harmful attitudes, and play a decisive role in shaping a safer and more respectful environment for women.
She concluded by stating that strict action will be taken in all cases of domestic violence, no complaint will be overlooked, and police, along with the district administration, will ensure enforcement of the law and penalties without
delay.
