Notices served on 318 owners over lack of building maps

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) The Municipal Corporation Faisalabad has served notices on 318 landlords for the construction of properties without approval of maps on seven main commercial roads during the last three weeks.

According to official sources here Thursday, the legal action was taken on east and west canal roads, Bilal road, Jail road, Eidgah road, Susan road, Sargodha and Liaqat roads.

The planning branch sealed 24 shops and plazas over violation of rules.

The Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar in a meeting appreciated the performance of the staff and said that cases should be registered against those who de-seal the properties on its own.

It was told in the meeting that 9 property owners have submitted applications for approval of maps.

The Commissioner directed to review the performance of the building Inspectors.

He said that university graduates should be offered services in the planning branch under the internship program.

He assigned the task of creating a system to the DG FDA in this regard.
