Officials suspended over 'negligence' at health unit

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Local Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Dagar Wednesday suspended five health officials over charges of mismanagement and negligence at the Ruler Health Centre (RHC) Marhan.

A health department team, acting on the DC’s direction, conducted a surprise visit to inspect arrangements and health facilities provided for patients and visitors.

Following a detailed examination, the team issued suspension orders for Lab Assistant Kashif Ali, Ward Servant Bashir Ahmad, a peon also named Bashir Ahmad, watchman Mohammad Riaz, and Charge Nurse Imrana Nawaz.

According to an official statement, the Deputy Commissioner’s office served notices to SMO Mohammed Umar and Dental Surgeon Imran Aslam, asking them to submit explanations on how such negligence occurred under their supervision.

In addition, MO Doctor Kamran, Dr Ramzan, and LHV Saima were also served show-cause notices regarding the poor treatment of patients at the health unit.

The Deputy Commissioner said no negligence would be tolerated in patient care at any government health facility. He emphasized that maintaining discipline is his Primary target and vowed that strict action would be taken against officers and subordinate staff found involved in such misconduct.
