Oil thief sentenced to 13 years imprisonment, fined Rs1.0 million

A court has awarded a total of 13 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs1.0 million to a man involved in oil theft through an illegal pipeline connection, in a case registered by Rawalpindi Police

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) A court has awarded a total of 13 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs1.0 million to a man involved in oil theft through an illegal pipeline connection, in a case registered by Rawalpindi Police.

According to the details, the convict, identified as Shafiq, was found guilty under multiple charges. The court on Wednesday sentenced him to seven years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs1.

0 million under Section 462-B, three years imprisonment for theft, two years under Section 427 PPC, and six months each under Sections 285 and 286 PPC.

The case was registered in October 2022 at Dhamyal Police Station. A police spokesman said the conviction was secured due to solid evidence and effective prosecution of the case.

City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani appreciated the performance of SSP Investigation and the investigation and legal teams for ensuring punishment to the offender.
