One illegal stone crushing plant sealed in Abbottabad over court order violations

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) The district administration Abbottabad has sealed one crushing plant in the Lora area for violating court orders and engaging in illegal mining activities.

According to the details, acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram, Assistant Commissioner Afrasiab Zubair Handal carried out an operation against the Faran Crush Plant located in Lora.

The action was taken in compliance with the orders of the Peshawar High Court, which had directed the closure of mining activities at the site. However, during inspection, authorities found that the plant was still operational and involved in illegal mining despite clear judicial instructions.

During the operation, the administration sealed the mining area and identified individuals responsible for the violations.

Officials also discovered that debris from the crushing plant had been dumped on roads and into waterways, constituting a violation of the Local Government Act 2013.

The district administration has instructed the concerned police station to register an FIR against those involved and ensure their presentation before the court.

Authorities reiterated that strict and indiscriminate action against illegal mining and non-compliance with court orders will continue across Abbottabad.
