One killed, two injured in separate incidents across Attock

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) One person was killed and two others injured in three separate incidents reported from different areas of Attock district on Thursday, according to police and rescue sources.

In a targeted shooting incident within the jurisdiction of Attock City Police Station, unidentified armed assailants killed 58-year-old Asad Sadiq near Salar Chowk close to Zakariyya Mosque. Police said the victim was on his way home when a masked gunman opened fire and fled the scene. Authorities added that preliminary investigations suggest the killing may be linked to an old enmity, as the deceased had reportedly shifted from Shangla in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to escape previous rivalry.

In another incident, a hotel worker sustained burn injuries after a fire erupted in the kitchen of a hotel on Kamra Road, reportedly caused by a gas leakage.
