RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) A one-year-old girl died after falling into a deep well near Union Council Baga Sheikhan on Chak Beli Road in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, Rescue 1122 reported.

According to Rescue 1122, emergency teams rushed to the scene after receiving reports that the child had fallen into the borehole.

Three emergency vehicles, including one ambulance and two rescue vehicles, were dispatched for the operation.

Rescuers successfully retrieved the child, identified as Anamta, from the well and immediately started CPR while shifting her to a nearby hospital. However, doctors later confirmed her death.
