Ongoing anti-polio drive reviewed

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aisha Rizwan, along with Assistant Commissioner Ashfaq Rasool and Deputy District Officer Health Naeima Ashraf, reviewed the implementation of the ongoing anti-polio campaign in the district.

During the visit,they inspected records of polio vaccinations and directed field teams to intensify efforts, including checking every rickshaw and vehicle to ensure that all eligible children were administered polio drops.

Separately, the deputy commissioner visited Lahore Road and Jaman Colony, where she oversaw drainage operations, removal of encroachments under security measures, and road cleaning activities.

She instructed officials from the Local Government Department and other relevant agencies to ensure effective drainage and sanitation arrangements, particularly along Sargodha Road.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Ashfaq Rasool, accompanied by Chief Officer education Azhar Sohail Niazi, visited Government Girls High school Jadid No. 2 to inspect ongoing construction work and issued directives on various matters related to the project.
