ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) The Islamabad district administration has continued its Open Door Policy, allowing residents to meet officials during office hours and raise their concerns directly.
The initiative aims to improve public access to government offices and ensure that citizens’ issues are addressed without delay, said the spokesman of ICT administration here.
According to the district administration, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad is holding daily meetings with citizens to hear their complaints, suggestions, and requests. During these meetings, immediate directions are being issued to relevant departments for the resolution of reported problems.
The administration stated that the Open Door Policy has been implemented across all district administration offices. Under this policy, residents can visit government offices during working hours and request meetings with concerned officers without facing unnecessary barriers.
The Deputy Commissioner said that citizens have the right to access public officials and discuss matters affecting their daily lives. He added that the administration is committed to ensuring transparency and responsiveness in public service delivery.

These sessions are intended to provide a platform for people to communicate their issues and receive timely responses from authorities.
The district administration further stated that strict monitoring of the policy is underway. Officers who fail to meet citizens or do not comply with the Open Door Policy may face disciplinary action. The administration emphasized that public access to officials is an important part of improving governance and resolving local issues efficiently.
Officials said the policy has helped create a direct link between citizens and government departments, enabling quicker identification of problems and facilitating prompt action. The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the initiative and ensuring that residents continue to have easy access to public officials for the resolution of their concerns.
