PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) More than 1.164 million tourists visited various tourist destinations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, according to figures released by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority.
A spokesperson for the Tourism Department said that tourist resorts and scenic destinations across the province witnessed a significant influx of visitors during the four-day holiday period.
The spokesperson said that comprehensive tourism management and facilitation arrangements were made on the directives of Chief Minister and Special Assistant to the CM for Tourism Malik Adeel Iqbal to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
Director General Tourism Authority Shahid Khan said that all tourism authorities remained fully active during the holidays, while Tourism Police personnel provided guidance and assistance to tourists at various destinations.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said that more than 1.164 million tourists visited KP during the four days of Eid celebrations. Swat Valley remained the most visited destination, attracting 333,939 tourists.
According to the statistics, 172,289 tourists visited Naran Valley, while more than 110,000 tourists travelled to Galiyat during the Eid holidays.
It further said that 166 foreign tourists visited tourist attractions across the province during the holiday period.
In the merged districts, a total of 394,682 tourists visited various destinations. South Waziristan attracted around 144,000 tourists, while 92,112 tourists visited Orakzai for recreational activities and sightseeing.
The Tourism Department expressed satisfaction over the successful management of tourist activities and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting tourism and improving visitor facilities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
