Over 1.322m citizens benefit from Police Khidmat Marakaz services

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz continued to provide modern digital services to citizens, with over 1.322 million people availing various facilities during the current year, a spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Sharing details, the spokesperson said that more than 507,000 citizens obtained general police verification, while over 266,000 were issued police character certificates. Similarly, more than 310,000 citizens completed tenant registration, while 43,724 were issued medico-legal certificates. Under initiatives for vulnerable groups, over 35,000 individuals were provided legal and social protection.

He further said that 11,548 citizens availed vehicle verification services, 29,410 registered document loss reports, and 1,029 lodged crime reports.

A total of 58,272 citizens obtained copies of FIRs, while 20 cases related to violence against women were registered. Likewise, 57,535 citizens completed employee registration and 765 obtained police verification for private employment.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem said that Police Khidmat Marakaz were a flagship public service delivery project, providing round-the-clock (24/7) facilities to citizens.

He directed officers to ensure courteous and polite behaviour with citizens at Khidmat Marakaz, police stations and other public places.
