Over 148,000 tourists visited Galiyat during Eid-ul-Adha vacations

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) The scenic hill region of Galiyat witnessed a significant influx of visitors during Eid-ul-Adha, with official figures reporting 148,828 tourists and 37,207 vehicles entered the area.

The data also noted 30 foreign tourists as part of the count.

According to a statement from the Galiyat Development Authority, providing facilities to tourists remained the top priority throughout the holiday.

Authorities implemented a comprehensive cleanliness plan and utilized all available resources to ensure visitor comfort.

Dr. Bakir Jalil of the Galiyat Development Authority emphasized that both domestic and foreign tourists have acknowledged the importance of the facilities provided. He added that the increase in tourist numbers highlights the growing significance of the region’s tourism sector.

Officials have pledged to continue further measures to promote tourism in Galiyat.
