Over 36,000 Pakistani pilgrims reach Saudi Arabia as Hajj flight operation gains momentum

MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) As the Hajj flight operation gains momentum, over 36,000 Pakistani pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia to perform the sacred religious obligation.

According to the latest data released by the Pakistan Hajj Mission on Monday, a total of 36,943 intending pilgrims have arrived in the Holy Land so far. This includes 32,454 pilgrims traveling under the government scheme and 4,489 through private Hajj organizers, transported via 126 flights.

In a significant development in the flight operation, direct Hajj flights to Jeddah are commencing today, May 4. Under this phase, 17 flights from various cities across Pakistan will transport an additional 4,377 Intending pilgrims to Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Meanwhile, the Main Control Office (MCO) of the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Makkah remains fully operational to facilitate the guests of Allah.

The 'Lost and Found' department has successfully traced and reunited six missing pilgrims with their groups. Furthermore, the department recovered and handed over 37 wheelchairs and 3,700 bags to their respective owners. To assist with navigation, dedicated Haram Guides have provided directions and guidance to more than 13,000 pilgrims.

On the health front, the Hajj Medical Mission is providing comprehensive healthcare services to the pilgrims. According to the performance report, over 5,000 pilgrims have been provided medical assistance at the Outpatient Departments (OPD).The medical mission has also conducted 132 dental procedures, 28 X-rays, 18 lab tests, 8 ultrasounds, and 5 ECGs to ensure the pilgrims remain fit and healthy to focus on their prayers and rituals.
