MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Over 500 passengers were returned overcharged amounts as the district administration
continued pre-Eid crackdown on transporters penalizing 204 vehicles and impounding 69 others during the last fortnight on overcharging.
Deputy Commissioner Nauman Siddique said on Tuesday that special teams deputed by secretary RTA Mohsin Nisar checked total 1,308 passenger vehicles during last sixteen days and 204 of these were found violating and fine tickets worth Rs 173,000 were issued. Sixty nine vehicles were impounded.
Exactly 511 passengers were refunded total Rs 54,400 in excess fares.
DC Multan Nauman Siddique further stated that petroleum products are 100% available in the district.
