Over 696,000 children to be vaccinated in Sargodha polio drive

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) A district-wide anti-polio campaign was launched on Monday in Sargodha,aiming to vaccinate over 696,000 children against Polio.

According to a press release issued by the deputy commissioner’s office,as many as 3,331 teams,comprising around 7,000 workers, have been deployed across the district for the campaign,which will continue till April 16.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhary directed the teams to ensure 100 per cent coverage, emphasizing that no child should be left without polio drops.

He further instructed the field staff to carry out door to door vaccination and said that strict monitoring of the campaign would be ensured through daily performance reviews.

The DC reiterated that all out efforts were being made to keep the district polio-free and urged parents to cooperate fully with the vaccination teams.
