Over 7,000 ICT Police personnel ensure peaceful Eid-ul-Azha prayers in capital

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) More than 7,000 Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police officers and personnel performed security duties to ensure peaceful Eid-ul-Azha prayers across the Federal capital amid foolproof security arrangements.

An official told APP on Wednesday that the largest Eid congregation in Islamabad was held at Faisal Mosque under comprehensive security and traffic arrangements.

All security measures were being monitored through Safe City surveillance cameras and modern technology to ensure effective surveillance and smooth management during Eid prayers.

According to the official, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi was personally overseeing overall security arrangements across the city.

The IGP Rizvi extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings to citizens and police personnel performing duties during Eid.

Rizvi prayed that Allah Almighty may always bless Pakistan with peace, stability and prosperity.
