Over two kanal government land retrieved

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) The district administration has retrieved two kanal and two marla of state-owned land belonging to the education Department in Band Korai, a locality of Tehsil Paharpur.

According to the administration, the land is estimated to be worth approximately Rs20.4 million.

It says the action is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal encroachments on state land and to advance projects in the public interest.

The recovered land will now be utilized by the reduction department.

It added the development has paved the way for upgrading the Band Korai High school to a Higher Secondary School.

The upgrade will provide better educational opportunities to local students and reduce the need for them to travel to distant areas for further studies.

Local residents have welcomed the move and expressed hope that it will lead to improved educational facilities and open up new avenues of progress for the youth in the area.
