Paharpur AC inspects BHU Kotla Lodhian, orders immediate improvements

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Paharpur, Dr. Hamid, paid a surprise visit to Basic Health Unit (BHU) Kotla Lodhian, where he reviewed staff attendance and assessed the availability of essential medicines.

During the inspection, the condition of the labour room was found unsatisfactory. The assistant commissioner directed that it be shifted immediately to a more suitable and safer location.

A separate room was allocated for this purpose, and the staff were instructed to complete the relocation without delay while ensuring proper cleanliness and hygiene standards.

He also issued strict instructions to the BHU in-charge to ensure the uninterrupted availability of all essential medicines so that patients could receive timely and quality healthcare services.

Later, Dr. Hamid held an open court at his office, where he met citizens from different areas, listened to their complaints, and directed the relevant departments to provide immediate relief.

Dr. Hamid emphasized that no negligence in public service delivery would be tolerated and that all health facilities must adhere to proper hygiene and service standards.

He stated that ensuring the availability of medicines, improving infrastructure, and addressing public complaints on priority are key responsibilities of the administration, adding that such inspections would continue to ensure accountability and better service delivery.
