Pak CG invites media for a tour of new consulate building

JEDDAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Newly posted Pakistan’s Consul General to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Syed Mustafa Rabbani, invited Pakistani media representatives residing in Jeddah for a tour of the new Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 1730 hours.

The event was included a walk around/visit of the Consulate General facilities.

Briefing at the Conference Room and High Tea. Ghulam Hussain, Head of Chancellery (HOC), Akif Iqbal, Welfare Consular, Miss.

Sadia Khan, Commercial Consular, Mohammed Irfan, Press Consular, and other officers and staff of the Consulate General were also present, together with a large number of media representatives from the major media houses of Pakistan. It was a well-organized visit.

The Consul General welcomed all the guests.

He briefly explained that our initial handover phase has been completed, and we have now transitioned into the final handover stage.

During this phase, we are identifying and addressing minor snags. For example, there is currently an issue with the tv audio—there’s an echo, and the sound system is not fully compatible with the TV.

Our team is actively working to resolve this. With that, we have also prepared a presentation to provide a detailed update. Ghulam Hussain (HOC) gave the presentation of the Building and its different facilities. He said the total project area is approximately 18,000 square meters.

The concept is designed to bring multiple services together under one roof. It carries on many useful activities for the public, such as the Passport, Nadra, visa, Emergency travel Document, Attestation, Trade & Investment, Community Welfare, and Hajj Wing.
